CodeIt keeps a useful free option for beginners, and a paid family plan for households that want more.
Free access
CodeIt keeps a useful free option. Beginners can open the project studio, follow the Python lessons, and use the browser playground without paying and without entering a card. The free plan includes 10 assisted project builds each month.
The paid family plan: CA$12/month
The family plan costs CA$12/month in CAD and can be cancelled at any time. Tax is shown before card details are entered.
It adds guided setup, more assisted project building, learner profiles, parent visibility, and a direct feedback channel.
The free plan does not expire and no card is needed to use it. Nothing starts charging on its own — a subscription begins only when someone chooses to start one.
Who can have an account
CodeIt is built for ages 8 to 14. For a learner under 13 a parent or legal guardian creates a private managed profile after confirming the adult account email; profiles for ages 5–12 work this way, and those managed profiles cannot publish projects publicly. Independent student accounts begin at 13.
